Wednesday, October 2 - Ladies Night Fundraiser at Big Peach Braselton

To help everyone gear up for October runs/walks, all PINK items in the store will be discounted for the evening - footwear, apparel, sunglasses, nutrition, etc. Additionally, American Heart Association will be there sharing some heart healthy tips as well as some CPR basics. Light refreshments and beverages will be served! Bonus points if you BRING A FRIEND and show up wearing PINK! Find out more here!


Saturday, October 5 - Foxfire Mountaineer Festival in Clayton, GA

Step into North Georgia’s Appalachian roots at the Foxfire Mountaineer Festival. From 10 AM to 5 PM, enjoy wagon rides, live music, and a variety of folk and craft artisans showing off their skills. Kids will love the games and activities, while adults can take part in fun competitions like the longest beard contest or the crosscut saw contest! This festival also features traditional Foxfire demonstrators who’ll show you how the early settlers lived. Food trucks will be available, so come hungry and ready for a day full of history and fun!


Saturday & Sunday, October 12-13 - Grand Opening and Fall Festival in Helen

Join Appalachian Roots for a grand opening and a fall festival/farmers market! There will be great food and vendors. Learn the holistic approach about Appalachian Roots and pick up some Fire Cider while you are there. Admission is free! Get more info here!


Saturday, October 12 - Fausett Farms Sunflower 5K in Dawsonville, GA

If you love fitness and beautiful landscapes, you won’t want to miss the Fausett Farms Sunflower 5K. Starting bright and early at 7:30 AM, participants will run through stunning sunflower fields with breathtaking views in every direction. There's even a 1-mile fun run for the little ones, making it a perfect family-friendly event. After the race, stroll through the thousands of blooming sunflowers to snap the perfect photo or explore nearby Burt’s Pumpkin Farm and Amicalola Falls for more fall fun. All participants will receive a race t-shirt, continental breakfast snacks, a Chick-fil-A biscuit, and a finisher gift!


October 12-13 & October 19-20 - Georgia Apple Festival in Ellijay, GA

Ellijay's famous Georgia Apple Festival returns for two weekends of fun in October! This year marks the 53rd year of the festival, which showcases over 300 vendors offering handmade and hand-crafted items, on-site demonstrations, live music, and mouthwatering fair food. Whether you're shopping for unique crafts or indulging in apple treats, this festival is the ultimate fall experience for all ages. Don’t miss your chance to be part of one of North Georgia’s most beloved traditions!


Saturday, October 19 - Sunday, October 20 - Gold Rush Days in Dahlonega, GA

Celebrate North Georgia’s gold rush history with Gold Rush Days in Dahlonega! From 9 AM to 5:30 PM each day, enjoy a lively celebration filled with music, crafts, and food. The town will be bustling with vendors offering everything from handmade jewelry to local eats, while you can explore historical sites that recall the town's gold mining roots. This festival is packed with family-friendly activities, making it an ideal weekend to learn about North Georgia's rich history while soaking in the fall ambiance.


Sunday, October 27 - Fall Festival at River Point Community Church in Demorest, GA

Cap off the month with some Halloween fun at the 5th Annual Fall Festival at River Point Community Church. From 4 PM to 7 PM, this free event will offer a Trunk-or-Treat, carnival games, big inflatables, and hayrides. It’s the perfect way for families to enjoy a laid-back evening full of laughter, treats, and a bit of spooky fun! There will also be popcorn and drinks, making this the ideal way to celebrate fall with your loved ones.
